Gee, is the "Bush Doctrine" going to go down in the analogs of history like the "Monroe Doctrine?" I didn't know there was such a thing as the Bush Doctrine. I'm referring to the question that Charlie Gibson threw at Palin in his interview.
Susan, don't let Charley Gibson's questions about the 'Bush Doctrine' frustrate you. You can read about the so called 'Bush Doctrine'at Wikipedia. Really our foreign policy, in regards to National Security, is governed by our National Security Strategy (NSS) The current strategy was updated in March 2006. You can read about it at http://www.whitehouse.gov/nsc/nss/2006/ It clearly states we will work with other friendly nations to multi-laterally deal with terror/security threats. We will not, necessarily, make uni-lateral decisions and always attempt pre-emptive strikes. So really, Charley was trying to trip up Palin, in her lack of knowledge of the so-called 'Bush Doctrine'. -John
